Mary is in motion. She looks like she just leaned over and picked up her Son and has pulled him to her chest, wrapped her hand across his back and is holding one small foot in her palm.

You can almost feel and hear her garments swirl as she does it all in just one fell swoop. Baby Jesus hugs his Mother around the neck while she proudly wraps her arms around our precious Saviour.
