This Nativity scene features the bark of holy olive wood trees as the manger’s roof and highlights the honey and amber tones of olive wood. The carvers bring out the delicate color variations, as seen in the grain in the palm trees, and the gradient tones in the brick-like carvings in the backdrop. Their skill shines in the intricate details of Mary’s hands, clasped in prayer, as she looks on to the Baby Jesus, awake and aware of the world around him. This table topper also includes a Holy stone from the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem.
